From 2022: #ColoradoSprings Cops Attempt to Entrap #Activists: Denver Spy Files Revealed Police Spying for a Decade

by #BrendaNorrell, #CensoredNews, March 10, 2022

"An undercover, pink-haired undercover cop in Colorado Springs, attempted to create crimes, and ensnare activists in illegal firearms purchases. Even a #MutualAid group was targeted. This current case in Colorado is a reminder of how Denver cops spied on everyone who supported #BigMountain, #Peltier and #AIM, in the 1990s. Even a grandmother with a Peltier bumper sticker and their attorneys were followed. The documents came out during discovery during a court case.

"The current Colorado Springs covert operation reveals how undercover cops target organizers, and attempt to entrap them, including those in #BlackLivesMatter, and shows that #COINTELPRO continues."

Today in Labor History December 11, 1917: Thirteen black soldiers were hanged for alleged participation in the Houston Mutiny. The cause of the mutiny, according to The Crisis Magazine, was the habitual brutality of white police officers toward black residents. The mutiny started on August 23, 1917, when a cop dragged an African American woman from her home and arrested her for drunkenness. A black soldier asked what was going on and was beaten and arrested, too. When Cpl. Charles Baltimore, an MP, found out, he went to the police station to investigate. He was beaten, too, then shot at as they chased him away. Rumors reached the military base that the cops had killed Baltimore and that a white mob was approaching. So, soldiers armed themselves and marched into town. A riot ensued in which 16 whites died, including 5 cops. 4 black soldiers also died. The army held three courts-martial in the wake of the mutiny. They found 110 African American soldiers guilty. 19 were executed in total, 13 on December 11. 63 more received life sentences in federal prison. No white civilians were brought to trial.

Rise Up DC: How we stay free under a hostile president and Congress

Time
Wednesday, December 4
6 – 8:30pm EST

Location
ONE DC Black Workers & Wellness Center
2500 Martin Luther King Jr Ave SE
Washington, DC 20020

The people of DC deserve dignity and respect. That's not what the incoming administration has shown us: conservatives have called DC names, disrespected our communities, and are threatening to dominate and control us.

DC deserves better — and we're willing to fight for it.

Join Harriet's Wildest Dreams, the #HandsOffDC campaign, and the Defend DC coalition for a teach-in about what the next administration might mean for DC and what it will take to win dignity for our people. This event is free and open to everyone. Food will be provided.

Replied to Jaden

@Jaden3 You read Malcolm's autobiography? I tried, but gave up, in tears, when his foster parents told him never trust white people. I'm white but I couldn't hold the advice against them. Malcolm himself grew past that moment, but it still brings me to tears to think about it. This was all supposed to be behind us by now.

Hmm. Sorry, maybe I shouldn't unload on you. But, yeah, #blacklivesmatter and #killercopsgottastop and keep fighting!

So to clarify why I feel so strongly bout racism and discrimination.
Ain gon lie to y'all my position on this been strongly influenced by my grampa. He grew up in mississippi and told me so much bout how the klan controlled and treated black folk . Yeah we was just niggas. He even saw men lynched. Told me as a kid he saw a man hanging from a tree. So I do feel real strongly that we get equality and we are not just treated like second class citizens #blacklivesmatter

the most important message in MLK Jr.'s teachings, for me, is the one that warns of the whiteness, the hate, that exists even in friendly faces.

i think the vast majority of voters of every race in the US can't even conceive of their racism, how ingrained it is, how institutionalized it is, how they perpetuate it with every rationalization. they feel safe in the world the way it is now, they feel they have control.

else why would they be so afraid of getting woke?
