Making progress. 3 out of 9 leaves.

I find I have to force myself to keep working on the leaves. Surprisingly, they don't catch my interest as much as the faster bugels. I get bored!

We shall see if I keep the focus or let myself get distracted by the fast and shiny.

Dress has to be done by end of April. I have about 2 weeks to get this shoulder done before I need to move to the dress. Was hoping to make a matching belt but if push comes to shove I can buy beaded trim.

3.3 beaded leaves in golds and browns on sage green silk. One leaf is unfinished.

Beadwork! Right shoulder is done!

Every bead was hand stitched.

I decided that simplicity in the bugle beads is best to show off the leaves. Was also closer to what I've seen on period garments for this style.

Some parts I pulled out 4 times to get right.
