The games console has a slow update cycle to guarantee stability for users, but #Valve announced yesterday that both the #Arch base system and the #Plasma desktop environment are being updated to new preview releases.

Atelier Yumia is a great follow up to the Ryza trilogy with addicting synthesis mechanics, flashy combat, and it is JUST playable on the #SteamDeck.

I had to boot into #Windows for the first time in almost a year today to update an #Xbox controller so it would work with a #SteamDeck. I'm half tempted to start a bounty for someone to make a working #linux version of this so we don't have to us KVM or VirtualBox to update a controller... A CONTROLLER.

My day one experience with Split Fiction:
Buy game on steam, no EA launcher requirement

Download on Steam deck & PlayStation, because my co-op partner uses ps5.

Launch game on ps5, it asks for an EA account which my patner doesn't have. Create account

From steam deck, send friend request to new account. EA won't load the username search results so I can't send it.

Install EA Connect on PC, send friend request from PC.

No way to accept friend request on ps5 in game.

Sign out of my EA account, sign into my friends on the PC to accept friend request.

Launch game of both platforms, select play online.

Forget that PlayStation requires payment for online play.

Give up, dock steam deck, pair controllers, play.

I wish games still let you host servers.
