Fonterra is ditching its consumer brands to concentrate on what they do best -- producing cheap milk powder for China and polluting our waterways.

The sale, which includes Anchor and several other brands, is likely to produce $2.5-3.0b and Fonterra are promising a cash handout to shareholders.
